Quick and Easy Bean Curry

Image
Hi everyone! Today I thought I’d share my favourite curry recipe with you. I love making this dish because it’s quick and easy, inexpensive to make (I use mostly supermarket own brand ingredients), healthy, and it’s even vegan! I’ve had lots of compliments on this dish when I’ve made it for family and friends, so thought it was worth sharing with you! Amounts are suggested for 4 people. Ingredients: 1 large tin of mixed beans (you could also use a large tin of chickpeas (pre-cooked) if you prefer), drained 500g (carton) passata 1 curry paste pot of your choice (I use Patak’s tikka pots) ½ large onion, diced 150g spinach 200g uncooked basmati rice Optional: Coconut milk Spices or garlic Mango chutney Indian snacks (e.g, samosas, bhajis, pakoras, etc). Method: 1.        Put the rice into a large sieve and rinse 2-3 times under cold, running water. Add to a large a large pan of boiling water. Let the water return to the boil, then turn dow

New Revolution Re-Loaded Palettes

Image
Revolution Makeup have been releasing loads of new products recently – you might have seen my recent post about their pressed glitter palettes – and they’ve just dropped four new Re-Loaded palettes. I loved the original Re-Loaded range, so I was really excited when I heard about these, and when I saw the palettes I had to get them! These palettes are only £4 each which is such a bargain for fifteen good sized pans. Here’s a closer look them. Visionary On first impressions this was my favourite of the four palettes; the colours are just so pretty and it’s giving off similar vibes to the upcoming Anastasia Beverly Hills’ Norvina palette. It’s a mix of mattes and shimmers, made up of nudes and browns with a few pops of pink and purple, and the pops look gorgeous in the palette. When I first swatched the shadows they didn’t show up that strongly, so I was a little worried about the pigment, but once I put the eyeshadows on my eyes on top of primer, the colo

Testing out Revolution’s New Glitter Eyeshadows

Image
Revolution has recently release a slew of new glitter eye products. I’ve been really eager to try all of them out, however there are far too many to try all in one post, so I picked up the three new pressed glitter pallets and one of the glitter paste pots, as well as the glitter glue primer which is recommended for use with all their glitter eye products. The pressed glitter pallets are so pretty. There are three different pallets to choose from: Midas Touch, a gold and bronze themed pallet with both warm and cool tones; Abracadabra, with rainbow brights and holographic colours; and Hot Pursuit, which is a more warm-toned pallet with pinks, reds and oranges. The pallets are £10 each from Superdrug, who currently have a ‘3 for 2’ offer on all cosmetics, meaning I got all three pallets for £20 and when you purchase three products you receive a free The Gypsy Shrine face jewel pack! Urban Decay vs. Revolution Pro: Microfine Eyebrow Pencils

Image
For the past few months I have been using Urban Decay’s Brow Beater in my daily makeup routine. It’s a microfine, retractable eyebrow pencil which also comes with a spoolie brush on the other end for taming and shaping brow hairs. I paid £16 for the pencil in House of Fraser, which seems to be the standard price everywhere. Last week my Brow Beater ran out unexpectedly (I go through eyebrow pencils quickly...) I don’t live close enough to any stores that sell Urban Decay to just nip out and buy one, and I couldn’t wait days for one to be delivered, so as a short-term fix I headed into my local Superdrug to see what they had on offer. I was having a peek at the recently rebranded Revolution Pro bay when I spotted something quite familiar looking: Revolution Pro make their own microfine eyebrow pencil, also complete with a spoolie brush at the opposite end. I’ve been a big fan of Revolution Pro’s eyeshadow palettes, so for £4 I was keen to check out their Microblading Precision br
